1080P Wireless Pet Camera

I've been pretty happy with this camera from what I've seen so far. The setup process was easy. The one item that I think was missing in the instructions had to do with how to access the SD card slot. I puzzled over that for a couple of minutes before looking it up online, then it was pretty simple to put the SD card in. Adding something about the SD card to the instructions to future models could be helpful. To install an SD Card, you rotate the camera up in the housing.The image on the camera is very clear. I really like the angle of the view as I can get a really good amount of a large room with it. The night vision is good or equal if not better than others I've seen. It is black and white, which is the only downside, but is typical of most cameras.In regards to the human detection, I was a little disappointed that with human detection enabled, it only records when a human is detected and not the whole time. However, the detection itself was very good and is better than other devices I have seen! I also thought that the smart tracking worked well. One thing of note, that was kind of funny is that when I first started testing, I had Christmas lights going that changed colors. The smart tracking seemed to get "caught" by the Christmas lights and once viewing them, would not reset. This is a problem that isn't likely to happen year round, I just thought it was funny I happened upon it by accident.I didn't have a great use case scenario for the baby monitor, but it is an interesting feature that we played with a bit. I could see how it would be beneficial to some. I really like the form factor as it is not intrusive at all and can sit on a shelf and not even be noticed. Overall, I thought that the camera is a great product

It's hands down the most versatile smart camera that I currently own. The camera includes features where it can be used a a baby monitor with the ability to set alerts for sound/ cry levels, a pet camera, security camera for home/ business or pretty much any use that you can think of. The picture quality is excellent both day and night which allows you to be able to easily identify people that the cameras detects. That brings me to the AI detection. Amcrest obviously spent their time with this feature and it's a game changer for those with pets. I previously had a camera in the same location and i would get motion alerts constantly when my pets walked around or hit the window blinds. With this camera there are no false alerts and when I walk by to test it, I'll have an alert within seconds showing that a person was detected. Truly a great feature.As far as the app interface, it is intuitive, responsive and easy to set up. While the camera can be set up and added to your current Amcrest NVR, it truly shines when used with the Amcrest Smart Home app as intended. This is where you get access to all the advanced features and all your recordings. It's truly amazing how many features that were packed into such a tiny camera. And speaking of camera size, I hesitated for a bit about how big this camera had looked in some pictures because I didn't want it to stick out. Well, if anyone is hesitating... just buy it now. It is so much smaller that I ever thought from the pictures. It looks awesome where it is and is barely able to be seen.This is hands down on of the most versatile and well designed cameras that you will come across in any price range. It can perform the functions of multiple different types of cameras just as well and probably better than most single purpose cameras. Don't hesitate at all if you are in the market for a smart camera. Amcrest did a great job with this product and stands behind it with great people and great support. I'm so glad to see Amcrest expanding their product lines while continuing to offer amazing products.

I purchased the baby monitor from and received it very quickly, approx 9 days ago. I have to say, I give this camera a resounding 9/10 rating. I have used several baby monitor cameras at this point, ranging from $25-$200 and this one is by far my favorite. I have a 16 month old child and another little one on the way, and this camera is one that we will definitely purchase more of to use with the new baby and perhaps the playroom.Pros - -Great HD Video quality, fast loading timeWorks really well with Alexa devices with a screen, fast load and great quality picture, totally replaces any need for a dedicated monitor. I have it set up so that anyone can simply say "Alexa, show me the nursery" and the picture loads in seconds.-Ability to pan camera remotely-Can view up to 4 videos at once (see attached photo)-Panning is great when camera sitting upright, get a great visual of entire room with one drawback (see below)-Can listen in on baby without video when in baby monitor mode, effectively creating an audio monitor out of your phone.Cons - -When the camera is sitting upright, I would like to see the panning ability go further down. If sitting on a table next to the crib, it is difficult to actually see in the crib because it has to sit higher in order to see above the crib rails.-When the camera is attached to the wall, it limits the panning ability to up/down. What I mean by this is if the camera is attached at a 90 degree angle, when you pan up to see across the room, you can no longer pan left and right because the top spins on an axis. I would really like to have a better view of the room when the camera is mounted, given that it has to be in order to see into the crib properly.-When away from home and off wifi (for instance, when driving) and service is not great, camera not great at loading quickly and gets stuck in the 90-99% range. Wishlist: -When opening the app, having the option to default to baby monitor mode AND-When in baby monitor mode, having the ability to save the squelch and alarm lines and have them cached for next useOverall, I love this camera. I will definitely buy more of these based on its compatibility with Alexa and great quality HD video. Disclaimer, I did not travel with this camera, so I don't know how easily it connects when on different wifis, but setup on home Wifi was very easy.

I come from the background of being a long-time Foscam user. But I've been watching Amcrest over the years and I found this $30 gem. I've been used to paying double that for my Foscam cameras a few years ago so $30 seemed so inexpensive. I was willing to experiment because this camera would be used specifically to monitor our cats (vs. potential intruders).I've read some unhappy reviews but I am experienced with configuring several Foscam cameras over the years, so setting up the Amcrest camera was fairly easily although I had never used an app to configure a camera before. That was new for me.I want to emphasize that our needs were basic (monitor our cats) so all we want is to be able to get motion-detect photos sent to us and perhaps peek in live from time to time. The Amcrest does the job. However, there was one annoying thing. Every time a motion-detect photo is sent, an extra email with repetitive text info is also sent. So for every notification, you get 2 emails! It adds up after awhile and can potentially fill up your email inbox unnecessarily. I emailed tech support about it to see if there was a way to turn off the extra email. I was informed that there was no way to turn it off, that few people complained about it, and that he would submit it as a suggestion. He said it was unlikely they would do anything about it. I appreciated the honesty.I am not sure how other Amcrest wifi cameras regarding the extra email notifications work but I hope the higher-end models don't do that or I would simply direct people over to Foscam. They have no such issue. One day, I may try out a higher-model Amcrest. But for now, this is my only experience.Another thing I noticed is that there seems to be a noticeable "fish eye" effect which is more than I am used to when viewing the video feed & photos. It isn't a huge problem but it is noticeable. Amcrest advertises this camera as a baby & pet monitor. As such, the camera does a fine job. I was able to talk to my fiance through the camera so the sound and microphone definitely works.Overall, I chose to keep the Amcrest camera and happy with it so far. The value proposition was very good. Tech support responded quickly so that was nice.

This amcrest camera is pretty good for the price. You get a camera that you can pan/tilt around in an almost 360 degree turn and has a great quality video and picture feed. The privacy feature is something that is nice to have as well when you do not want the camera. While testing this camera, I placed it in my sons room so that I can monitor his online virtual classroom. I am able to make sure that he is keeping up with his school work and can even use the built in microphone and speaker to communicate with him.I have also used this camera to monitor our home when out. The auto tracking feature is useful and can detect pets and focus on them when they are moving across the room. The camera turns to follow the moving pet or person until it is out of the field of view and returns to its normal position.The Amcrest Smart Home app is what really sells this camera. It is so easy to setup the camera using the instructions. The baby monitor feature is very useful and can monitor noise level thresholds. You can also opt in for the cloud recordings but if you do not need it, you can just stick with the microSD card. No extra steps are necessary to connect to your camera when you are away from home either. Everything just works.Pros:-Easy to setup and install-Tracking built-in-Price is great and affordable-Amcrest Smart Home app is very easy to use.-Privacy feature built-inCons:-Pan/Tilt has a slight delay but works regardless when you get used to using it.-Made for tabletop placement, not mountable on wall or not option to do it.
