We run three Eufys on a daily basis in our home, one on automated and two on manual start. They pick up an incredible quantity of dust and hair and the cement floors are always nicely clean. But you have to feed the beasts and their favorite food groups are iPods, wireless earphones and iPhone chargers. We would swear they can climb baseboards and jump to catch them. They will also repeatedly bang into the furniture until they fall in their maws.Their mating habits are interesting: any design furniture with a low metal foot will attract them for long and repeated humping sessions until the lie exhausted. The magnetic boundaries work well on hard surfaces, but are treated more as a guideline if placed under orientals.I’m summary great devices but eternal vigilance is the price of cleanliness.
March 2021: Unfortunately my love for Eufy has died, along with my second robovac in 16 months. My replacement vacuum (see below) started spinning in 360 degree circles, moving back an inch, spinning, moving back, indefinitely. I reached out to customer service. They had me hit the bumper (HARD) to see if it was misaligned. That didn’t work so they sent me a video and asked me to remove them replace the bumper. That didn’t work and they informed me the 3-month warranty on my replacement had ended. I could pay $60 for a refurbished unit with a 3-month warranty. I opted against that. I’m doing so I decided I might as well take it apart and tinker with it. When I opened the lid there was SO. MUCH. CAT HAIR. Omg it was terrible. Only problem? I don’t have cats. Cats have never been in my home (we built it and have been the only residents). Apparently that “new” eufy they sent me a few months ago was a refurbished unit that never even got cleaned. A VACUUM from someone else’s home was not cleaned before being shipped (in a box wrapped as if it was brand new) to me. Yep, I’m done.October 2020: After about 10 months of use the vacuum started getting a bit louder so I reached out to Eufy's customer service. I was blown away at how responsive they were. They resolved the problem no questions asked. Highly recommend!!November 2019: At first I wasn't sure about the Eufy 30C not doing precise straight lines like the iRobot, but for the price I decided to keep it. I'm actually glad now because I don't get OCD about what parts of the carpet get walked on and need recleaning. This thing sucks up SO MUCH!! We use it frequently between full vacuums with an upright.
To my surprise, the RoboVac 30C is able to clean a pretty high-pile area carpet. Specifically, if it happens to go on it, or if you intentionally place the RoboVac on it, the RoboVac will move around without issue. However, when the RoboVac is not on it (e.g. on hardwood floor), it will, sometimes, avoid getting onto the carpet. Something to keep in mind.Another issue is that if you have a desk with "flat" legs (i.e. two legs with the "feet" being flat and extending to be the depth of the table), the RoboVac may get stuck on it if the desk is placed on a medium-pile carpet (since the desk legs will be "sunk" a little, and the RoboVac will be elevated a little). This is also another quirk. One final quirk is the fact that the automation integration requires a dedicated app. Specifically, I have to enable a bunch of permissions on Google Assistant to use it. Ideally, Eufy should provide an option that only performs the "auto-mode start" and "auto-mode return" that equates to "turn on" and "turn off" in their smart plugs. This way, there is an alternative to using the dedicated RoboVac Google Assistant app. For my set up, I prefer not to enable a bunch of permissions on Google Assistant.Overall, a rating of 4.5. The customer service is good. I ran into some issues with the brush guard, and they were able to help me get it fixed. So I will round up to 5 stars.
We bought the 11S before the 30C came out. We have been very happy with the 11S. Recently we saw the 30C on sale and decided to get it. It was an extravagance at the time because the 11S was working just fine. When we fired up the 30C, we were stunned as the to the difference in sound, both the 11S and 30C have the same sound level in terms of decibels, but there is a clear difference. We didn't know the 30 C was running. The 11S can be heard in the another room. They also improved the swivel wheel in the front. On the 11S the arm collect hair and must be cleaned every other run, the wheel begins to get tight. The 30C does not have this problem, the arm and wheel are one component. A good improvement. It is obvious that the Eufy engineers are learning and improving. Now we cant the 30C wheel assembly for our 11s, they are interchangeable and will improve the clean-up on the 11S. The value of this product is huge: Value=Quality/Price; we did some research and these are the best machine for the price. Have already recommended to friends and family!
This is a great Christmas gift for adult sons to give to their aging mothers. Eufy [BoostIQ] RoboVac 30C has been part of our household for about a month. She is entertaining, I use it several times a week. It is easy to operate, does a room at a time and is very quiet. (Right now, she is running at our feet while we're watching TV. We refer to Eufy as "she.") My house is carpet city. Living in Michigan, bare floors are conducive to cold weather. Eufy cleans up small pieces of paper, lint, cat litter and small leaves that get tracked in. She requires emptying per room and her brush must have all the hair untangled from around her cylinder. She runs long enough to get on room completely done. Prior to her starting, we move dining room chairs, pick up all the shoes, cat toys and phone charges because Eufy likes to suck up undigestables and then will drag them throughout the house. All, in all, she's become part of the family.
