This is my first ever robot vacuum and I am so happy I purchased the shark, I tried it out and it picked up a lot of hair! Very impressed. It is a little noisy but nothing outrageous. It got a little lost when trying to Dock..but I may need to move the Dock to a better location. But so far today I received it and tested it out. Great! Packaging was good. I'll update review after couple months as well.
If you are considering buying this shark vacuum, DO IT! Firstly I was a bit worried about the set up and connection beings I use the app to control the vacuum, but I was worried for nothing! It was extremely easy to connect my robot to the Internet, and then connect it to the app, which is very user friendly. I also highly suggest app usage. Not only can you turn your vacuum on with your smart phone you can also set it’s cleaning schedule, check to see how long it has been running, dock it, and locate it if it gets stuck or lost in your home. Aside from the app, the battery life is incredible and long lasting. I have never had it run out of battery while cleaning my house. It is able to clean 2 living rooms, the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and 3 bed rooms, hallways and all, without losing any life. The suction is also powerful. So powerful that it even picks up socks! (Accidentally of course) I typically like to inspect the floors after it passes and truly I am always satisfied with the job it has done. One of the bed rooms it cleans also has carpet, which it has no issues adjusting to or cleaning. I also noticed that it will even vacuum over our kitchen and living room rugs.Emptying the vacuum is also easy to do, and I truly find that it hold a lot of dirt, trash etc. before needing to be dumped. The bristles are easy to clean as well.Overall I highly suggest this product. You will not be disappointed. In fact you will not believe you ever lifted a finger to vacuum after seeing how easily and efficiently this vacuum works.
If you have hard surface flooring this is an absolute must. We have 4 children 6 years old and younger and tile / hardwood throughout the home. We typically sweep 4-5 times daily to keep up with the dirt generated by the aforementioned micro terrorists. Aside from sweeping under the edges of furniture the shark can't get to we haven't touched the broom it two days. Im thoroughly impressed with this vacuum as it saves us an easy hour and a half per day. I had reservations on how well it would handle the kitchen and bath mats as well as the rugs, not only does it navigate them with ease, it cleans them thoroughly. Only downside is the apps connectivity but it usually fixes itself within a few minutes if you're having issues. All in all fantastic product. I'm buying one for my mother asap.
This is my first purchase of a robot vacuum cleaner, and I bought it at a great price from a flash deal, so, those two things being considered, I love this little guy. I have hardwood flooring throughout my main floor and carpet (ugh) upstairs. I only use it on the first floor, which is about 1,000 feet of living space. I charged it for 24 hours before I first used it, and then I let it loose to clean. My home is very dusty, and I have a cat with longer hair and a beagle. Unless swept or vacuumed daily, walking barefoot it’s easy to feel the floor not quite clean. This robot is sturdy and diligent. I let it run through my whole main floor, (having to redirect occasionally to get it into various rooms), and it did a great job. I’ve read reviews on robotic vacuum cleaners before I bought this one, and people often mention noise level. If you need a very quiet one, this may disappoint you, but it isn’t a problem to me. Normal conversation or tv volume can be maintained while it’s running. It went over different thresholds between rooms with no problem. It isn’t a top of the line product, and I can’t say how it does on carpet, but for my purposes it’s a great little vacuum, and I’m happy with my purchase.
This works as described. Easy to assemble and easy to understand what the buttons do.There are a few drawbacks just from my personal preferences:1. Emptying the tray, especially if it gets full, is difficult. The container should open on the top so you don't need to put your fingers in to dig stuff out.2. This one does not map your home, so it's basically just puttering around wherever it wants sometimes multiple spaces multiple times. This doesn't really bother me because I turn it on and forget it.3. Make sure you put every item you don't want sucked up away (like socks, cords etc)4. I still need my upright vacuum for my bedroom because this will eat everything in side. I have a lot of usb cables on my side of the bed and this thing just gets them all pulled out.5. I don't think it works well with Alexa.6. It takes its sweet time going back to the base. I usually lift it up and set it right in front of it so it doesn't get tired and cranky because it's vacuuming another 30 minutes before it locates the base. The base is central in the room and easily found so I don't know why it does this. All in all, I like it - my living room floor stays clean and I'm not hurting my back trying to vacuum the whole house.
